Your kids are here for OUR COACHES! So let’s start with that!
We appreciate the trust that you place in us when you bring your children to Evolution for sports instruction. We believe in having CERTIFIED and FULLY-TRAINED COACHES – even assistant coaches.
To work at Evolution Sports NJ, coaches must have the following completed courses and certifications:
USAG Recreational or Competitive Coach Certification
CPR (American Red Cross)
First Aid (American Red Cross)
Safety & Risk Management
Concussion Management
In addition to these “basics,” coaches are required to attend in-person spotting clinics, conferences, Region 6/7 Congress, and other continuing education courses. We believe that every additional bit of knowledge helps them coach your children with an even higher level of expertise.
This summer, Evolution’s staff attended the USAG Regional Congress. It was an amazing action packed week of hands-on spotting clinics and lectures on cutting-edge coaching that fostered our culture of continuing education and teamwork.

At Evolution Sports, we invest in our coaches so that they provide your children the highest possible level of instruction.
Our happy coaches mean we have CONSISTENCY and avoid the pitfall of a “revolving door” of untrained coaches.
Evolution Gymnastics keeps safety at the forefront of all activities. Coaches receive thorough training and ARE required to have SafeSport Certification and a background check.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
Every employee receives a second comprehensive background check – IN ADDITION to the one that USAG performs.
SAFESPORT TRAINING: CHAMPION RESPECT. END ABUSE.
Every employee must pass the exam from the US CENTER for SAFESPORT to ensure that they are fully trained in all aspects of child safety.
Perhaps the most important factor in running a children’s sports facility is safety. Beyond our cleanliness and the regular maintenance of equipment, a strict adherence to the US Center for SafeSport Policy – including coaching qualifications, background checks, and education in appropriate coach-athlete relationships is non-negotiable.
At Evolution Sports, every member of the staff that trains or comes into contact with minors, including coaches, assistants, and office personnel, will be required to maintain current certification. A compliance expert will inspect and review our adherence to this policy on an annual basis. Click here for the US Center for SafeSport.
As a USAG Member Club, Evolution Sports NJ is committed to following all guidelines and mandates regarding Safe Sport as stated by the US Center for Safe Sport & USA Gymnastics.
